Gotham"s new District Attorney has been elected. His name is Harvey Dent, and he has a radical new agenda that threatens to take down Gotham"s organized crime underworld once and for all with an iron fist. But the emergence of the rogue vigilante known as Batman has caused problems for Dent and his agenda. A new criminal mastermind known only as "The Joker" has arrived and aims to take Gotham out from under Harvey Dent"s iron fist. The Joker stages a masterfully planned bank robbery and robs the Gotham mob blind. He uses this money to stage a series of horrific and strategic attacks against the city and its people, each one carefully planned and aimed at Dent and Batman, while causing the rest of the city to enter panic mode. Meanwhile, Batman thinks he might have found a lead to The Joker thanks to Wayne Enterprises" dealings with a shady Chinese banker, and that takes Batman and Alfred to Hong Kong. The Joker has no rules, but Batman has only one, and the Joker aims to make Batman break his only rule. But who will be the one to take him out, will it be rogue vigilante Batman, or will it be elected official Harvey Dent, the new hero with a face?

Watch Full The Dark knight rises. The movie overall was just okay. I frankly thought Batman Begins was better. I don"t understand at all why everyone seems to be going so crazy over this movie. There were so many loose ends in my opinions and things that needed clarification. The plot lacked something in my opinion.
That said, Heath Ledger"s performance was the best part of the movie. If I could rate just him alone it would be 10/10. I don"t think he was used enough. He played his part to a tee and was pretty much the only thing about this movie I remember. I don"t think I"ll be able to get the scene at Gotham hospital out of my head.
Also I have to give props to the special effects. There was one scene in particular where I thought they gave the audience a very creative scene and nailed that "thrill" factor.

I love the power dynamics at play here in this scene (and the other half) Joker getting the upper hand, then Batman, then the Joker, then Batman again, then Joker, then Gordon, lol ??. The Dark Knight trilogy is the quintessence of a masterpiece, all other comic book movies and the entire MCU doesn"t even come miles close to the story telling, character development, emotional roller coaster, acting performance by all these actors, psychology, cinematography, philosophical message and of course the musical composition of the legendary Hans Zimmer. I think The dark Knight is more similiar to james bond movie or Mission impossible, it is well written and well scripted, the film is something we are all looking for it"s a hero we can touch and feel, but also there is no green screen.

In Memento, Nolan has the presumed hero fall when the test came, deciding to live on a lie just to preserve his own need to live. In this film, the only moral victory from the "people" came from the two boats. But the "good boat" representative"s final refusal to detonate is unconvincing, though plausible. What will we really do? I wonder if Nolan did that for us, to give us a little hope in ourselves though it might not be true.
